Client. Practice Sights Clinician Recruitment and Retention Management System
Our role. AVS Group designed and developed a robust, custom application for Practice Sights to aid in the retention of health care professionals serving in rural or under-served areas of the U.S. The system allows administrative users to routinely gather real-time data from clinicians and use this data to make clinicians’ service experiences as positive and productive as possible. It's designed to streamline the collection of retention data by automating much of the process. This system has complex programming and logic built-in and is highly configurable, allowing for a great deal of flexibility in its ongoing use.
AVS Group began the development process by gathering requirements for Phase One of the project. The outcome was a comprehensive technical specification document designed to guide the programming of the site. This document served as the 'roadmap' for the development of the site and helped ensure all the required functionality was accounted for. The system was developed on an open-source application framework that allows for streamlined duplication of the system across multiple sites. It also allows for faster development, thanks to many built-in features and functionality. Despite the complex back-end, the system presents a clean and simple interface that makes it easy to use. Plans are currently underway for developing the second component of the tool, one that focuses on clinician recruitment.
Client feedback. "When the decision was made to develop the Practice Sights Recruitment and Retention Management System into two Phases, we were on a very strict deadline to complete Phase One of the project. AVS Group kept us on task and provided valuable guidance and suggestions to improve processes as we mapped out the technical specifications. This project involved multiple collaborative organizations and AVS Group graciously navigated through our complex requirements and delivered a system that is easy to use and will be an important tool to assist states in their retention efforts for years to come."
