W.A. Roosevelt Website Strategy and Development

Project Overview

W.A. Roosevelt recognizes the importance of having a strong web presence, and the role that a well planned web strategy can play in streamlining business operations, gaining new customers, selling more to existing customers, and differentiating from the competition. This, along with the age of their previous website, prompted W.A. Roosevelt to partner with AVS Group to develop a new web strategy, and ultimately, a new website—redesigning their existing website and developing a new website for their Lights & Baths Showroom.

AVS Group worked with WA Roosevelt to determine goals for the new websites, and decide on navigation, functionality, content, and design. AVS Group conducted extensive research among key stakeholders to help develop the plan. This research included surveying customers, employees, and vendors; and meeting with the WA Roosevelt management team. The outcome of the web strategy was a formal Plan Document outlining specific tactics to be taken to achieve the websites’ goals, a summary of the research, proposed navigation and content, and an initial design.

With approval and buy-in on the plan from
WA Roosevelt, AVS Group began work on the new websites, which were developed using the non-proprietary DotNetNuke (DNN) content management system (CMS). With the training and documentation that AVS Group provided, WA Roosevelt website administrators are able to easily add and edit pages, and perform other website maintenance tasks. WA Roosevelt handled developing and adding the content to the website, helping to cut costs. Special features of the new websites include a comprehensive list of employees and their contact information, easily searchable lists of vendors, dynamic content including web-only specials and featured ‘green’ products, and a calendar of events.
