Project Overview

AVS Group has been updating the La Crosse Community Foundation’s website annually for many years. The updates typically include a new look consistent with their annual report and updating content. During 2008, the Foundation wanted to add a substantial amount of new content to the site within a limited budget. AVS Group offered a cost-effective solution that included training La Crosse Community Foundation staff so they could add their own content to the site and maintain it. This gave their staff the ability to create new Web pages and add text and images to the pages. AVS Group developed a custom design for the site and created template pages for each section of the site, providing the La Crosse Community Foundation with the benefits of a professional design and site structure, while allowing them to save money on content development. AVS Group created the template pages in such a way that will also make future design changes easy to implement throughout the site.

AVS Group’s Web expertise helped them provide effective training for La Crosse Community Foundation staff in basic Web updating techniques, allowing Foundation staff to manage costs by performing content updates in-house. In addition, the site design promotes donation opportunities by showcasing links to donate via the Web in high visibility areas of the site.
