Project Overview

Bramec Corporation previously invested approximately 40 hours per month in managing the products listed within their website and performing general maintenance. As Bramec grew, so did the amount of information within the website, which increasingly made the monthly maintenance more time consuming.

AVS Group has over 30 years of HVAC industry experience and understands HVAC marketing. AVS Group applied its HVAC experience and collaborated with the Bramec team to design a Web strategy that focused on reducing Web maintenance time by approximately 98 percent, increasing the usability of the website, and strengthening the Bramec brand. The Web strategy that AVS Group designed included both front- and back-end development such as a system of Web-based business tools that automated many of the tasks that Bramec previously performed manually.

Benefits

In addition to the 98 percent reduction in maintenance time, increasing the usability of the site, and strengthening Bramec’s brand, AVS Group’s Web strategy also provided the following benefits:

  • Ability to efficiently manage every detail of Bramec product information including the adding and deleting of brands, products, product categories, pricing, specifications, and other information. The information is managed via a system of easy-to-use Web-based business tools.
  • Front-end navigation is dynamically updated when product information is changed.
  • Created a uniform product template so that information is displayed consistently.
  • Created a central Microsoft SQL database for storing product information.
  • Reduced the expense of printing and mailing pricing updates since the information is now online.
  • Included a dual data back-up system to protect against server problems and the loss of data.
  • Timely implementation—the entire strategy only required 8 weeks for production and deployment.

Bramec sells over 5,000 products, through HVAC wholesalers, to commercial and residential contractors throughout the United States and Canada. The company is headquartered in North Sioux City, South Dakota, with additional sales offices in Boca Raton, Florida, and Springfield, Illinois, as well as an independent sales force of over 40 representatives.

Bramec has enjoyed consistent and profitable growth throughout its 30-year history, and with the continuous introduction of new products, the company’s facility has expanded to over 90,000 square feet. To ensure future growth and expansion, Bramec recognized that the company’s existing website (Bramec.com) could play a more vital role in this effort. Unfortunately, the site required a significant amount of monthly maintenance, which inhibited Bramec from realizing the site’s true potential.
